Biography

K. Ryan Tallent is an American Songwriter, Arranger, Multi-instrumentalist, and Music Producer.
Ryan has written, recorded, and/or performed with diverse artists of contemporary popular music including Counting Crows, Kelly Clarkson, Dan Wilson (Semisonic, Dixie Chicks), Phil Madeira (Emmylou Harris), and emerging Indie artists K.S. Rhoads, and PawnShop kings. In 1996 Ryan began learning String Arranging by recording dozens of string sessions – from Quartets to Chamber Ensembles. While paying his dues as an engineer, he was fortunate to learn tricks of the trade from some well-respected session players and conductor/arrangers and like Charles Calello. In 1999, Ryan co-produced ”Shoot Me Down” – the independent release for two-time Dove Award winners, By The Tree. From 2000-2005, Ryan worked with Graham Colton while touring with Dave Matthews Band, The Killers, John Mayer, Kelly Clarkson, Counting Crows, Wallflowers, Soul Asylum, Gavin DeGraw, Wyclef Jean, Black Eyed Peas, and 311. In 2004, Ryan recorded with Brendan O’Brien on the debut of the GCB full-length album “Drive” on Bass, Hammond b3, Mellotron, and Piano for Strummer/Universal Records. In 2007 & 2008, Ryan worked with Grammy nominated producer Dwayne Larring as a producer, engineer, programmer, musician and arranger for Chris Lawson Jones, Ben Cantelon, Theft, William Tell, Bekkah LeBeau, Jamie Drake. He also scored and arranged music for the independent films, “The Tarzen Diet” & “The Waterman”. Currently, Ryan is Producing and Mixing a 6 song EP with Roots & Roll eclectics, PawnShop kings in Los Angeles, CA, and Texas.
